Bradmore Events Group
The Bradmore Entertainments Committee are changing the way we communicate with you in the village. The cost of printing and the time it takes distributing flyers has become expensive and time consuming. Future communications will be online or be posted on the notice boards within the village. If you still aren't on the village email list or you know of a neighbour who isn't please sign up or encourage others to sign up so everyone is connected and getting the communications at the same time.

The BEC is continually looking for new members. It is a friendly group with a few meetings a year. Could you offer us your expertise, enthusiasm and a little spare time? You only volunteer for what you feel you want to do, but a few more members would make life so much more exciting! Why not come to a meeting to try us out to see what you think? Are you ready to "give a little back" to Bradmore? A very warm welcome to any and all Bradmorians! (contact Monica above).
The group was originally formed at the request of the Parish Council to organise an event for residents to celebrate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration in 2012. The evening was a great success, and it was decided that the Group would continue fundraising to finance future village events.
The Jubilee 2012 (see gallery)
There have been several small events (Barbeques, Fish and Chip quiz evenings, local walk followed by Afternoon Tea, Cheese and Wine evenings, Shampagne and Shepherd’s Pie evening etc), the profits from which are retained to help fund larger events.
The Jubilee celebration in 2012 was followed by a “Flower Power” event in 2013 which was a 1960/70s themed evening with live, contemporary music. Both events were held in large marquees within the village, each event attended by approximately 200 people.
In June 2016 we held the Great Bradmore British Picnic. See it here:
The Group desperately needs suggestions for the future, and is looking for new members who can assist with both ideas and the organisation of events. This is also a good opportunity to meet your neighbours!!!
The work is not particularly onerous or time consuming, with the group meeting about four times a year, usually for 1-2 hours.
Any of the following members can be contacted. We hope you will be able to join us!
